How can i find my order with a reference number?

i have a reference number from my credit card info, but no order number because i choose the option to make an account later >_> The order number is different than the reference number, because the reference number is 4 or 5 number bigger than the what it lets me put in the box to track my order on the website i ordered it from.i could call, but what would i say? wheres my order?
