How do I get help after an auto accident!!?

I was in an auto accident, The freeway was completely stopped. A guy sped up out of carpool to avoid hitting them (they were coming to a stop) well the rest of us had already stopped, he slammed into me going about 70 MPH. Now my neck is really screwed up. I am self employed and on the verge of losing everything. Is there anyway to get some help?? The insurance company keeps telling me they can not do anything except pay med bills when all my treatement is done, the Drs say it could be as long as 2 years for me to get better....what do I do???
